Questions groups ask us
Do our guests need to download an app?
No. They scan the code, the album opens in their phone's browser, and they upload. There is nothing to install and no account to create, which is why it works for guests of every age.
Do we need the app?
No. Everything works in a browser today, on your phone and on your laptop. The iPhone and Android app is for whoever planned it: it buzzes when photos land, lets you moderate from the next room, and saves favourites to your camera roll. Your friends will never need it.
Is there a limit on how many friends can upload?
Never. Most album apps cap you at 50, 175, or 350 friends and charge more as your list grows. Lovely Day does not count your friends at all.
Is the album private?
Your album lives at its own unguessable link and is not indexed by search engines. Anyone with the link can add and view photos, which is what makes it effortless at a party. You can hide or delete anything from the host dashboard.
Who owns the photos?
You and your friends do. We never license, sell, or train anything on your photos. You can download the entire album as one file whenever you want.
How long do you keep our photos?
The Album includes 12 months of hosting and Forever includes 10 years. We will always email you before anything expires, and the download-everything button never stops working.
Some of these photos should not exist forever.
Any guest can take a photo down themselves from the album, instantly and without asking anyone. Whoever set the album up can delete anything permanently, and approval mode is on by default here so nothing is visible until they say so.
Does any of this end up on social media?
Not from us. The album is not a social network. There is no public feed, no share button that posts anywhere, and search engines are told to leave the page alone. It is a private link that exists only where you send it.
What happens to the album afterwards?
It is yours to take away. Download the whole weekend as one file whenever you like, and delete any photo in it permanently from the dashboard. Hosting runs 12 months on The Album and ten years on Forever, and we email you before anything expires.
